Grattai is a small suburban town located in the area of the Mid-Western Regional Council. The secluded environment in the suburb makes it an ideal location for weekend getaway trips and holiday vacations. Although the suburb is situated in a remote area, it is in close proximity to urban communities in Mudgee, Gulgong, Rylstone and Hill End. This allows both tourists and locals in Grattai to access many different types of services and businesses. Grattai is about 20 minutes drive south west of Mudgee, the area has a rich Aboriginal, gold mining and agricultural history.

Mudgee 
268km (3.5 hour drive or 45 minute flight) north-west of Sydney. From the fertile farmland surrounds comes great local produce available at cafés and restaurants in town, farm gate tours, cellar doors and epicurean outlets. With a continuous history of winemaking since the 1850s, Mudgee is the third largest grape-producing region in NSW. 

Gulgong

Booming in the gold rush era of the late 1800’s, this heritage town featured on the original $10 note, and is now steeped in history & gorgeousness – where local passion runs deep.

Rylstone

One of those charming country towns, boasting an extraordinary heritage streetscape and unexpected foodie delights.

Kandos

Known as the ‘town that built Sydney’ with a working-class background, now a quirky underground arts community eager to share their creativity, in a unique town nestled at the foot of a mountain and at the centre of many Central West attractions.
