OUR STORY
A Brief History of Shady Creek Rustic Cabin:

The property was bought by Bruce in 1994 and was originally a very rough bush block with no access for cars. It was covered in black berry bushes and the flats by the creek were all mounds of dirt left by gold diggers. The round nature of the holes showed that the Chinese had dug all over the land looking for gold.
There are several holes still by the creek and a few places where the steep hill side was dug away as well.
Bruce purchased the land with a vision for what you see today, nice dwellings nestled in the trees looking down to pleasant creek flats in the shade of large old apple gums and eucalypt trees. The creek environment is always cool and accented by pleasant native bird song.

The Shady Creek cabin was completed in 2002.
